Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is housing designed specifically for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. SDA includes special features to help residents live more independently, such as wider doorways, accessible bathrooms, and communication systems. SDA funding helps pay for the property costs, while SIL pays for support workers.
