NDIS Practice Standards

« Back to Glossary Index

The NDIS Practice Standards are quality benchmarks that NDIS providers must meet to deliver safe, quality supports and services. These standards are set by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

The Practice Standards cover key areas including:

  1. Rights and Responsibilities – Respecting participants’ rights and dignity
  2. Provider Governance and Operational Management – Organizational policies and procedures
  3. Provision of Supports – Safe delivery of supports and services
  4. Support Provision Environment – Safe and accessible environments
  5. Verification Module – Core compliance requirements

Registered NDIS providers must demonstrate compliance with the Practice Standards during the registration process and ongoing audits. The standards help ensure participants receive consistent, high-quality support across all NDIS providers.
